Some 545 Syrian refugees returned home through three border crossings on Thursday.

Repatriation of the refugees takes place voluntarily and in a coordinated move between the Lebanese security institutes and UN High Commissioner for Refugees.

Some 829 Syrian refugees returned home last Thursday from Lebanon which is currently hosting some 1.5 million Syrian refugees.

Hundreds of Syrian refugees crossed the border from Lebanon over the past months, as part of a Russian-brokered plan to repatriate nearly one million Syrian refugees currently residing in Lebanon.
