
The Public Relations Office of the Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and Tourism (RICHT) quoted Vali Jahani head of the exploration team in Liar-Sang-Bon complex as saying recently that the ancient Liar-Sang-Son complex, a district of Shir-Chak Village in Rankouh, is located in the city of Amlash, Gilan Province.
The historical Liar-Sang-Bon complex 26 graves were discovered in the second season of the archeological research, he said.
Pointing out that Liar-Sang-Bon settlement-cemetery complex is located in the Rankouh district in the city of Amlash, he said the area is mountainous and serves as a boundary between the Amlash forest and humid areas and the cold and semi-dry regions of Daylaman.
A deep valley from the north to the south divides the complex into two sections so that in order to reach the area you need to take a one-hour walk in an arduous path of the mountain, he added.
Jahani went on to say that the ancient complex has embodied the burial and stone architecture evidence dating back to the historic era in the cemetery of which there are evidences of crypt burial and pit graves belonging to the Parthians.
