Minister: Iran, Russia to expand cultural ties

Salehi Amiri made the remarks in the conference on the 515th anniversary of the Iran-Russia historical relations at Foreign Ministry's Institute of Political and International Studies in Tehran.

Considering important and effective role of Russia in campaign against terrorism, Salehi Amiri said by cooperation in the cultural front, good achievements are to be obtained in campaign against terrorism and Takfiri thoughts.

He called the conference an auspicious move, when bilateral ties have reached a new strategic level.

Salehi Amiri called today’s gathering as a suitable opportunity to promote new ties between the two countries, adding that such a gathering will play important role in bringing elites of the two states closer to each other.
