“Mazar Sharif” wins best film award at Australia festival

Iranian filmmaker Hassan Barzideh’s film depicts the story of the killing of several Iranian diplomats and a journalist by Taliban terrorists in the Afghan city of Mazar Sharif in 1998.

The film features Hossein Yari, Mahtab Keramati and Masoud Rayegan as its main characters.

The Phoenix Film Festival was held in Melbourne from Feb 26 to March 2, 2017.
