King Nader‘s sword stolen in Russia

The incident happened in mountainous region of Cabochon in Dagestan Republic in Caucasus region of Russia.

An official from Dagestan Interior Ministry said that the bandits broke the enterance gate of the museum and stole existing valuable items in the place.

The official said that around 160 valuable items, including King Nader's sword, which was the most valuable item in the museum, was stolen.

An official from museum said that four swords had been stolen, which King Nader sword was worth more than one million dollars.

A silver cup depicted by picture of Stalin, the second leader of the Soviet Union, as well as other cups depicted by pictures of other Soviet Union leaders were among other stolen items in the museum.

King Nader was born in August 1698 in Dargaz, Khorasan province, and killed in Qochan city, the same province, in June 1747 and buried in Mashad.

He was founder of Afshar Dynasty.

King Nader or Nader Shah was one of the most famous kings of Iran, who was known as ‘the last great Asiatic military conqueror.

He defeated Afghans, Ottomans and Russians and reunited Iran again and also conquered India.

Nader Shah three times attacked Dagestan by military expeditions to fully conquer the mountainous region.
