Japan pioneering Iran studies worldwide

Addressing a meeting with a group of Iranologists in Tokyo, Abouzar Ebrahimi Torkaman said Iranians also follow up studies on Japan and also the related books in the field.

It indicates the great interests among Iranian and Japanese people to learn about each other’s’ cultures.

Referring to the 90th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between Iran and Japan, he expressed hope for developing relations between two countries.

Meanwhile, Iran envoy to Japan Morteza Rahmani Movahed underlined the importance of supporting experts and researchers.

The first round of Iran-Japan Religious Dialogue on 'Family Status in Islam and Shinto' was held in Ise, Japan, on Saturday.

Torkaman and a number of Japanese scholars and Islamologists attended the meeting.
