Japan envoy says Japan to take part in Tehran book fair

Mitsugu Saito who was visiting the 32nd Tehran International Book Fair, met with Mohsen Javadi, head of the fair.

The Japanese ambassador praised Iranians love of reading books as extraordinary and said that Japanese publishers are interested in participating in book fairs around the world.

He recalled Oman's international book fair, saying that he had met with many Iranians who were eagerly visiting the fair.

The ambassador expressed hope that he could establish stronger cultural links between Japan and Iran during his tenure in Tehran.

The 32nd Tehran International Book Fair kicked off on April 24 and will run untill May 4. Scores of foreign publishers with hundreds of books are participating in the cultural event.
