According to Kashmir’s deputy Grand Mufti, Dr Nasir-Ul-Islam, Muslims are divided around the globe and have been made to understand that they are dependent on the West in every aspect of life and thus harbor a sense of insecurity.
“It was a courageous stance of Ayatollah Khomeini (RA) to declare America as a Satanic power. And their (American) actions around the world have vindicated Imam Khomeini. World has now realized how correct was Imam’s assessment of Washington”.
Nasir-al-Islam, a Hanafi Mufti, called upon Muslims to stand united to counter the enemy machinations and join the fight for the liberation of Al-Quds.
Justice Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain, a former judge of Kashmir High Court says Imam Khomeini was a charismatic personality who changed the destiny of not only the Iranian nation but the entire Muslim Ummah.
“To the world he is known as the man who was instrumental in successfully bringing Islamic revolution in Iran but in fact he was the great leader who provided leadership to the Muslims of the world and the nations who strive for a freedom and justice”.
“Nelson Mandela rightly said that Imam Khomeini is the leader of all freedom movements and should be followed throughout all times and eras”, Justice Imtiyaz said, adding the Imam showed the way how leadership can be provided to a nation by combining religion and politics.
“The concept of Vilayate Faqih given by the Imam is an ideal form of government which has enhanced the prestige and honour of the Iranian nation. It has withstood the test of the time and is the only hope for those who want peaceful co-existence”.
Prominent Sunni religious leader and head of Karwan-e-Islami group Maulana Ghulam Rasool Hami said, “The ongoing war against Islam started almost 200 years ago when imperialists sowed the seeds of discord in Hejaz by proving up a Wahabi cult there. Maulana Hami believes that it is impossible to overcome the weaknesses unless Muslims start countering forces responsible for internal strife than external enemies.
“The Muslims are victims of sectarianism that is why they are not able to follow a particular leader and be it on the issue of Jerusalem (al-Quds) or any other issue related to Muslim Ummah”.
Arabs these days are following a model which was created by America, Europe, and Israel and that model is Wahabism. The main aim of Wahabism is to give a bad name to Islam and push the youth towards extremism. Thus Arab states becoming allies of America and Israel is no surprise to us”, Hami said.
Maulana Hami urged Muslims to follow teachings of Imam Khomeini as according to him “Ayatollah Khomeini was a great leader and what he has said during his lifetime regarding America is now becoming clear. He always would caution Muslims about the American polices and warned us not to fall in America’s trap”.
Another Sunni cleric Maulana Dr Sameer Siddiqui believes Muslims are suffering from ignorance. “There is a lack of knowledge among Muslims. They don’t read their own books and are not well aware of their own scriptures so the enemy took an opportunity of this lacuna and painted Islam in the image they wanted. “Orientalism was West’s theory in which they said they want to study Islam and they projected sectarian differences in Islam and confused Muslims which gave rise to sectarianism. And unfortunately, majority of Muslims accepted that because we were not well versed with our own books”.
“It is because of the sectarian prejudices that we gave them (West) an opportunity to divide us into different sects. I would say not only ordinary Muslims but our leaders are also in dark or are overwhelmed by sectarian prejudices and are thus serving the imperialist interests than that of Islam.”
Maulana Siddqui called Imam Khomeini a visionary leader who warned Muslims against American designs way back. Now Muslims of the world have recognized his golden words which he had said years ago”.
Maulana Masroor Ansari, a prominent leader of Kashmir’s All Parties Hurriyat Conference says late Imam’s legacy is in the able hands of leader of Ummah Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei.
“Imam Khomeini started the mission for renaissance of Islam and restoration of Muslim glory and Imam Khamenei is carrying it forward with deftness and wisdom. The result is the revolutions sweeping the Muslim societies and Islamic Awakening we witness these days”, he said.
