IRNA-Xinhua Photo Exhibit opens in Tehran

The exhibition of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) and Xinhua is being held in the Imam Khomeini Mosalla (Grand Mosque) on the sidelines of the 23rd Press Exhibition which kicked off in Tehran of Friday.

The goal of the fair is to boost relations between the official media of Iran and China.

The two media also held a joint photo exhibition in the 24th China International Book Fair in Beijing in August this year, during which over 100 photos featuring the two countries' cultural, political, historical, and sports themes as well as natural attractions were put to display.

The agreement on holding joint photo exhibition was reached in Beijing in July 2017 during a meeting between IRNA Managing Director Mohammad Khoddadi and his counterpart in Xinhua, Cai Ming Zhhao.

IRNA also held a joint photo exhibition with the Korean state news agency Yonhap in September. The event was held simultaneously in the two countries' capitals.
