IRNA chief calls enhanced cooperation with CCTV

'IRNA and CCTV can be complementary to each other and work together in various fields and cooperate for joint production of media products,' IRNA Managing Director Zia Hashemi said.

'We are ready for joint production of short films in cooperation with CCTV,' he noted in a meeting with Wi Gao, head of CCTV media production sector.

The CCTV official, for his part, welcomed development of ties with IRNA and said that 'IRNA has large capacities for cooperation with CCTV.'

The IRNA chief visited China to attend the four-day Boao Forum for Asia, also known as Asia's Davos which is held annually.

Launched in 2001, Boao has been considered as a platform to build Asian consensus, promote regional cooperation and advance the continent's influence on the world.

About 80 heads of media from 50 countries attended the Boao 2018.
