IRNA, Bernama sign MoU on news cooperation

In the meeting, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to broaden professional cooperation in the media-related activities.

IRNA bureaus in the most sensitive regions in Beirut, Damascus and Baghdad are very active and can put the news agency's photos, news and films at the disposal of the Malaysian news agency as the latter is absent in those regions and the Malaysia news agency can send its news related products in South East Asia such as Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore to IRNA, Khoddadi said.

IRNA news products are being disseminated in eight languages of Persian, English, Arabic, Turkey, Spanish, Russian, Urdu and French and we are to add other languages such as Germany to the list, Khoddadi said.

Head of Board of Directors of Malaysian official news agency (Bernama), for his part said new round of professional cooperation between the two news agencies have been kicked off and welcomed expansion of such cooperation between the two sides.
