Iran's ‘The Dark Room’ to take part in Serbian festival

The 101-minute feature will be screened in the main competition section of the Serbian event, ifilmtv.com reported.

The film, that enjoys a social drama genre, narrates the story of a young couple, Haleh and Farhad, and their five-year-old son, Amir. The small family recently moved into a new apartment to begin a new life, but they cannot imagine what awaits them.

Amir is lost in the barren area just in front of the complex, however, his parents soon find him. But then, Amir tells his father that someone has abused him and that makes Farhad very upset.

The troubled father is now looking for a suspect who has harassed his little boy.

Hejazi’s film has won awards at some international film events such as the 2018 International Film Festival of Kerala in India.

The 47th edition of the Serbian film event is slated for February 22 to March 3.
