Iranian envoy in Bosnia discusses media cooperation with head of ONASA news agency

In the meeting, Heydari underlined position and role of media in dissemination of information among nations and said that one of the media responsibilities is helping people to know each other more.

He added that Iran’s embassy efforts in Sarajevo is to expand relations in all areas of politics, economy, culture and society with Bosnia and Herzegovina and in this concern a proper dissemination of information for public opinion has special importance.

The ambassador said that media are representatives of public opinion, so we believe in importance and value of the media, either news agency or press, especially ONASA, as the eldest non-governmental news agency in Bosnia.

Elvira Begovic expressed pleasure for having the opportunity to meet Iranian ambassador and introduced activities of her news agency, which was founded in 1994 during siege of Sarajevo with the aim to disseminate information and news to the world society.

She expressed hope that with the support of the Iran’s embassy media the news relations between the two countries would be promoted.
