Iranian director awarded in Cannes

Sheridan had won the Golden Globe Best Screenplay for 'Hell or High Water' in 2016.

The Mexican movie “April's Daughter” won the Jury Prize and Jasmine Trinca won the best actress award for the Italian “Fortunata”.

Writer-director Mathieu Amalric won the Poetry of Cinema Award for “Barbara “.

The main section awards, such as the Golden Palm, will be presented on Sunday.
