Iranian cinema, theater director passes away

Parviz Taeedi died at the age of 81 after suffering a heart attack after years of being inflicted with diabetes mellitus on Saturday morning.

Born in 1937, he was known as a director, writer, lecturer and translator, and was one of the founders of the television theater.

Taeedi had films such as the 'deadline' and 'the attack of crabs' in his work, and was one of the first translators and instructors to become an academic actor in the theater.

His other activities include teaching at the Drama Schools, the Sure College, and the translation of works by renowned world-famous screenwriters.

His first major role in the theater was in August's Stindberg's 'Father'. Among his other plays is 'neglected beautiful' and 'last crop bar'.

Short films on 'Iranian monuments, Role of the Painting of the Wall', 'Soil, Water and Flowers', 'the wind of Fire, 'The Basiji', 'The Art of Carpet of Iran' was another activity of this pioneering artist.
