He said in his Tuesday's meetings, he held talks with EU commissioner for agricultural and rural development Phil Hogan, EU commissioner for Health and Food Safety Vyteni Andriukaitis and Belgian Minister of Social Affairs and Health Maggie Celine Louise De Block.
Qazizadeh Hashemi said he and Ms De Block discussed the areas of cooperation between Iran and Belgium including research, education, standards of medicines and medical equipment.
Ways of improving foods safety in Iran, the country's easier entry into European markets and making use of Europe's capabilities for raising the quality of Iranian-made products that can be exported to international markets including Europe were the topics discussed with the two EU commissioners, he said.
Later on Tuesday, the Iranian minister and his accompanying delegation visited a science and technology park, south of Brussels and AMB company which manufactures new equipment and machinery used for recycling, recovery and processing of medical waste.
