Munesan at a meeting with Yazd officials and the city of Abarkuh recalled the efforts to register the 4500-year-old Cypress of Abarkuh, Iran’s oldest living creature, and said, 'For the upcoming year, the global registration of the north-south railroad has been planned and the next priority Global registration is Cypress of Abarkuh.'
Abarkuh is one of the 14 most popular tourism destinations in the country, with 136 of its 400 monuments and works have been registered in the national monuments list.
