In an interview with IRNA, the WHO representative in Pakistan Dr Mohammad Assai Ardakani, said that Iran has already offered its support to Pakistan to eradicate polio from the country.
He added that Iran has a great deal of experience in supplying health and medical support to the region which is a matter of great pride for the whole region.
He further added that Iran not only can provide effective support for eradication of polio, but it can also effectively cooperate with different countries of the world in medical and health sector.
Mohammad Assai said that there is a strong health system in Iran that is why the overall health situation in the country is satisfactory.
He added that both Iran and Pakistan are members of World Health Organization Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean and Iran can help Pakistan in fighting polio through its vast experience and expertise in the health sector.

he expert said that according to the WHO there are 3 million disabled people in Pakistan who need resources for rehabilitation and out of which 2 million live in rural areas who face lots of problems.
