Iran oil tanker rescues 13 Pakistani seamen

According to NITC’s Public Relations Department, after the Pakistan’s command center for sea rescue operations called for help at 10:45 a.m. on June 20, commander and sailor on board the Iranian tanker immediately rushed to save lives of 13 Pakistan seamen in the vessel ‘Al-Naeimi’.

Captain Mohammad Berenji, commander of ‘Arch’ which was sailing towards the Persian Gulf ordered a change in the course of the ship to move to the location of the Pakistani vessel when he received a danger signal and SOS message.

The rescue operation lasting for 17 hours in an adverse climate conditions led to saving lives of the Pakistani seamen.

Earlier, another Iranian giant oil tanker ‘Stream’ managed to save five Sri Lankan fishmen whose ship had been capsized in India Ocean.
