
In the meeting, both sides underlined the significant status of archives and documents in the world and studied grounds to broaden cooperation in the sector.
Since the two countries are members of the International Archive Organization, they had established cooperation but due to some various reasons, they ignored to do so, Ziyaei said.
They also voiced readiness to broaden close cooperation in the field more than before.
Malaysian National Archive with ordinary and digital archives is regarded as one of the most important centers in the country.
The center was established in 1957 and in 1963 changed its title and now is operating with some 500 staff under direct supervision of Malaysian Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
