Iran, Japan to draw up health cooperation protocol

Speaking at the third meeting of the working group of the Council on Iran-Japan Ties attended by Japanese Deputy Minister of Health, Labor and Social Welfare Kida, Mohsen Asadi-Lari highlighted the two countries’ capacities in the health sector.

Expressing Iran’s interest in making use of Japan’s experience and capabilities in the health sector, he stressed the need for planning and efforts by officials of the two countries to further promote mutual cooperation.

Kida, for her part, underlined the need for Iran-Japan cooperation in various fields including medical equipment.

Referring to the high level of cooperation between the two countries, she underlined enhancement of collaboration between Tehran and Tokyo in various sectors including medical equipment, transfer of technology, hospital building and conducting joint scientific research in different spheres such as blood transfusion.
