Iran, Japan agreement on extradition of prisoners to take effect

IRNA reporter in Beijing said that it is the most recent part of wide cooperation between Iran and Japan following implementation of JCPOA and signing bilateral agreement on joint venture investment.
The agreement was signed in January 2015 and a diplomatic note was exchanged for extradition of prisoners.
Statistics indicate that totally around 3.000 Iranians are in prison abroad, whose charge were mainly drug smuggling.
The number of Iranians in Japanese prisons are less than 200.
Iran has signed agreement with 11 countries on judicial cooperation and extradition of prisoners.
