Iran has unique position in region: Indian scholar

“I have seen that it’s [Iran’s] infrastructure is the best, [it also has] very good education system,” Jalees Ahmad told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on the sidelines of the Mustafa Prize conference.

“Iran sends a very strong and good message to world of Muslims,” he added.

Regarding the impact of Mustafa Prize on the Muslim world, he said “the main problem which Muslim world is facing is that they are working everywhere in different countries and areas but that is not being projected and Mustafa Prize is a platform that can highlight these contributions of the Muslims in the field of medicine and science.”

“This is a platform which can bring together Muslims, [this is] what has been tarnished by media and agencies,” he added.

Elaborating on the conditions of Yemeni people and Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar, Jalees Ahmad said “the Muslim world’s main problem is working in segregation. If we can unite together, this problem can be solved easily.”

The Mustafa Prize is a science and technology award, granted to top researchers and scientists from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states, biennially.

The Mustafa Prize is a platform for top scientists and innovative engineers from OIC member states to present their achievements to the world. It aims to improve scientific relations between academics and researchers in order to facilitate the growth of science in OIC member states.

OIC is the second largest intergovernmental organization after the United Nations with about sixty member countries over four continents.
