Iran Cultural Week opens in Moscow

In his inaugural speech, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanaei said that organizing cultural programs played an important role in upgrading mutual relations and introducing the country's culture to other nations.

Referring to ancient Iranian culture, art and tradition and to international standing of Russian literature and art, Sanaei said such factors would provide an appropriate opportunity for expanding cultural cooperation in parallel with economic, political and humanitarian ties.

Also addressing the audience, Head of the Culture and Islamic Relations Organization of Iran Abuzar Ibrahimi Torkaman said that today Iranian Muslim artists are displaying their works in an effort to show the Iranian people's message of friendship and brotherhood to other people of the world including the Russian nation.

During the week-log festival, a variety of programs such as Iranian music performance and film screening sessions and reviews with be held.
