Iran has made good progress in various fields of science and cooperation between Tehran and WIPO is needed, Iranian Vice President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari said in a meeting with Director General of WIPO Francis Gurry.
He urged WIPO to help Iran's youth in case of applying for patent and protecting their innovations.
During the meeting, WIPO chief, for his part, lauded Iran's progress in various fields, including the knowledge-based enterprises and startup companies.
The Iranian vice president and WIPO chief agreed to hold workshops on intellectual properties in Iran with participation of representatives from other regional states.
