Deputy Chief for Engineering and Information Technology of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Vahid Rafe' and two of the directors of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) and Tehran Times English-language daily represented Iran in the meeting, which is also attended by more than 200 envoys from other countries.

During the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BARF) on Tuesday, All-China Journalists Association signed Belt and Road news cooperation and exchange agreements with journalist organizations from more than 20 countries and regions.

The consensus on Belt and Road journalist organization cooperation was adopted at the 2018 Belt and Road Journalists Forum held in Beijing in June.

The first OBOR meeting was held in 2014. The forum will be a platform for working out action plans for implementation of the initiatives in the areas of infrastructure, energy and resources, production capacity, trade and investment and identification of major projects.

The event is also intended to be an opportunity for the signing of cooperation agreements with countries and international organizations in the areas of financial cooperation mechanism; a cooperation platform for science, technology and environmental protection; and enhanced exchanges and training of talent and financing agreements for backing projects.

OBOR runs through the continents of Asia, Europe and Africa, connecting the vibrant East Asia economic circle at one end and developed European economic circle at the other, and encompassing countries with huge potential for economic development.
