Iran-Armenia nanotech forum opened

Armenia's Minister of Economic Development and Investments Suren Karayan and Iran's Ambassador to Yerevan Kazem Sajjadi addressed the two-day forum on Friday.

Karayan urged stronger ties among the two countries' researchers in the field off nanotechnology.

Meanwhile, sajjadi pointed to the visa waiver program between Iran and Armenia as a way of enhancing bilateral ties, including the tourism sector and easing the contact among the two countries' scientists and experts when such forums are held.

Armenia, home to nearly three million people, shares borders with Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Iran.
