
During the meeting, Qazizadeh Hashemi and Feroz expressed hope that Afghanistan will become self-sufficient in health sciences again.
Tourism, health, medical sciences training, cooperation in blood and blood products' sector and pharmaceutical were among topics of MoUs.
The Islamic Republic of Iran is the best country for Afghanistan as regards cooperation in all fields namely health sciences and he expressed hope for further cooperation with Iran.
Meanwhile, Hashemi announced that Iran is supposed to allocate 500 scholarships to Afghanistan health sector and Iran will meet 50% of the cost.
He went on to say that Iran is to train Afghan physicians in brain and heart surgery.

During the one-day tour, Hashemi held talks with his Afghan counterpart on health and bilateral cooperation.
He also held meeting with Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah, discussing issues of mutual interest.
