Int’l congress on stem cells starts in Mashad

“The future of medicine is interrelated with cell therapy and the treatment of refractory and incurable diseases is in this field of medicine,” said the clinical deputy of Royan Institute, Ahmad Vosough Dizaj, MD.

“The scientists of engineering majors are conducting in-depth researches alongside the biologists and medical practitioners to cure diseases and promote public health,”

He also said that having access to engineering sciences as well as the combination of biology and medicine can play a crucial role to solve health problems.

“Khorasan Razavi province is the hub of scientific and technological activities of regenerative medicine in the east of the country due to the efforts of its scientists and researchers,” said Alireza Rashidian, the governor of Khorasan Razavi province.

“At the moment, the executive scientific policies in Iran back those sciences which are practical and remove the existing impediments in the society, a prime example of which is stem cells,” Rashidian further added.

The 2nd International Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine Congress is to wrap up on Friday.
