Great French pianist plays in Tehran

Clayderman arrived in Tehran on Friday and entertained Iranian lovers of music for two hours in the big hall of Interior Ministry in the capital city of Iran.

Clayderman, who had already said that he would have a surprise for the audience, also played a patriotic Iranian song filling his Iranian fans with joy.

Upon arrival in Tehran, the French musician told reporters, 'I have always and under any condition composed and played music for love and peace. Now, it's my pleasure and pride to play for the first time for the hospitable people of Iran.'

A group of Iranian musicians led by Mehdi Norouzi played with Clayderman on Friday.

The French musician will have a second performance in Tehran, too.
