Funeral procession will begin at 8:30 a.m. local time Monday with participation of local people and officials, he said.

About half of the martyrs will be buried in Ahvaz while others will be laid to rest in their home cities across the province, he said.

At least 29 people, including women and children, were killed and more than 70 others injured during September 22 terror attack in Ahvaz which took place during a military parade held to mark the 38th anniversary of an eight-year imposed war against Iran.

The self-proclaimed Saudi-affiliated Al-Ahvaz terrorist group claimed the responsibility for the attack.
