Ecuadorian film maker awarded Urban Film Festival prize

Daniel Yepez was awarded the prize for the best short documentary in the Sixth Urban Film Festival of Tehran by Saadat Aghajani, Iran's ambassador to Ecuador.

The young writer and director described the festival as an opportunity for identifying the young film makers' talents, and a contribution to nurturing them.

Prior to the prize awarding ceremony, a few minutes of the film 'Vida' (The Life) was played for the audience in the Iran's embassy in Ecuadorian capital, Quito.

The festival was run in Tehran’s Mellat Cinema Complex from July 31 to August 5.
