Earthquake rocks southwestern Iran

According to the seismological center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the tremor occurred at 20: 07 hours local time (15:37 GMT Sunday) in an area located at 50.72 degrees longitude and 31.92 degrees latitude and in the depth of 10 kilometers.

The earthquake left nine injured, Head of the public relations office of Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari emergency department Mohsen Ebrahimi told Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

Ebrahimi went on to say that two of the injured were treated at the accident site and seven others were transferred to hospital.

An aftershock measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale also happened in the area and again in the depth of 10 kilometers.
