Czech mountaineer rescued from blizzard in Mt Damavand

“The mountaineer was a member of a three-member group including a woman and two men and he insisted on continuing climbing despite fierce blizzard,” the Managing Director of the Red Crescent Society of Mazandaran Majid Akbari said.

“The Czech mountaineer had lost stamina and was carried down the mountain by the rescue team,” he said.

During the past few months, similar accidents also happened to domestic and foreign mountaineers including Malaysian and Polish ones on the way to ascend Damavand Peak.
