Speaking in an exclusive interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Sunday, Song Chunfeng said despite the good level of Tehran-Beijing political and economic relations, the two nations cultural cooperation was not satisfactory although suitable cultural activities have been made between the two capitals over the past few years.
The rich and common culture of Iran and China as well as their cultural cooperation have always reinforced the bases for their bilateral ties, he said.
The official added that Iran's handicrafts are highly valued in China.
Referring to the participation of Iranian artists and art works in different Chinese festivals, Chunfeng said it has created enthusiasm toward the Iranian culture.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Chinese official invited Iran to attend all future art exhibitions in China including the 3rd international cultural investment conference which is slated to be held in China.
