Belgrade hosting Iranian Film Festival

Iran’s Ambassador to Serbia Hossein Molla-Abdollahi told the inaugural ceremony that such cultural events will help the two nations develop further understanding of each other.

Referring to Iranian cinema’s global fame, he added that the festival features selected films by noted Iranian filmmakers including the late Abbas Kia-Rostami whose works’ major message was peace and friendship.

The 16th Iranian Film Festival opened on Wednesday and runs for six days. The films ‘Where Is Friend’s House’ by Kia-Rostami, ‘Melbourne’ by Nima Javidi, ‘Fish and Cat’ by Shahram Mokri, ‘Bodyguard’ by Ebrahim Hatami-Kia and ‘Where Are My Shoes’ by Kiomars Pourahmad will be screened during the event.
