The exhibition dubbed 'The Rose Empire' was staged at the Louvre-Lens Museum in northern Paris and was welcomed by Iranian art lovers.
The exhibition was organized in line with the agreement signed between Louvre and the Iranian Cultural Heritage Organization during President Rouhani's visit to Paris back in January 2016.
The artworks were returned to Iran in mid-August and were displayed at Golestan Palace on Wednesday, September 12.
Among the exhibited artworks are 19 magnificent Qajar-era handicrafts including eight oil and watercolor paintings, a collection of photographs taken by Nasereddin Shah (ruling from 1848 to 1896) along with his camera, a copper crown belonging to Agha Mohammad khan (ruling from 1794 to 1797) and two exquisite handwritten Qurans.
Golestan Palace will host the exhibition for one week.
