Adobe structure discovered in western Iran

The structure dates back to the Iron Age 3 (probably the Medians) with thick walls, fire platform and seating platforms with dimensions.

With regard to the fact that the ancient Hajiabad Hill in the village of Razqan is located within the limits of Avicenna Petrochemical Complex of Famenin, Hamedan, its salvaging project was put on the agenda, the Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and Tourism (RICHT) reported.

Head of the archeological team Esmail Hemmati Azandaryani, Monday said activities of the archeologists in the area led to the identification and discovery of valuable works which are unique in the archeological studies of west of Iran from the Iron Age 3 (probably the Medians) and similar works have not been observed anywhere else except in Noushijan.

He pointed to the temple platform, adobe platform around the spaces, the separating wall, the U-shaped stove, niche, and the remains of the clusters of wheat close to the temple platform, saying all the clay findings in the area date back to the Iron Age 3.
