Abbas Kiarostami commemorated at Oscars 2017

Kiarostami whose Taste of Cherry won the Cannes Film Festival top prize in 1997, died in Paris at the age of 76 in July 5, 2016.

During the 89th Academy Awards ceremony on Monday, well-known Iranian film director Asghar Farhadi won Oscar for the best foreign film for the second time.

The Oscar 2017 was presented to Farhadi’s “The Salesman”.
