4.4-magnitude quake hits southeast Iran

The state seismographic center said the quake, which was sensible 10 kms deep inside the ground, occurred at 09:46 hours local time (05:16 GMT) on Tuesday.
The epicenter was determined to be at 55.56 degrees north latitude and 81.30 degrees east longitude.
No report is yet available of the likely damage.
Director General of the Crisis Management Department in Kerman Province’s Governorate General Office Mohsen Salehi Kermani told IRNA that no report had yet been received of the quake in Zarand, a city 75 kms north of Kerman.
