‘23 People’ won UNESCO’s film of year award

Hojatollah Ayoubi said that the selection was made from among the films that participated in the 37th Fajr Film Festival.

The acclaimed movie, which is about 23 young Iranian volunteers who were held captive during 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war, won the title because of its theme on peace and defense.

The selection of film of the year of Iranian National Commission for UNESCO was made for the first time and the ceremony to unveil the film will be held in the coming days, he said.

‘23 People’ harvested six National Will Manifestation awards at the 37th Fajr Film Festival.
