10 dead as chairlift falls in Pakistan

Reports quoting rescue officials said that the local villagers were riding the chairlift in the village of Charra Pani when it broke away from the wires and fell into deep ravine.

The injured were shifted to hospital in Rawalpindi.

The chairlift was built by local people to connect the villages of Charra Pani and Batwari.

Chief Minister of Punjab province Shahbaz Sharif has sought an inquiry report over the incident and directed the local authorities to provide best medical facilities to the injured.
