Earthquake rocks Avaj, Iran

According to the seismological center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the quake occurred at 12:45 hours local time (8:15 GMT).

The epicenter of the quake was registered at 35.695 degrees latitude and 48.949 degrees longitude and it happened in the depth of 19 km underground 19 km away from Avaj.

There is no immediate report on possible casualties or damage caused by the quake.
