
“While the all world countries have paved this path in a 20-year time, we can achieve this goal in 10 years,” Kamalvandi said on Saturday, addressing a national conference themed ‘Resistance Economy and Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in Tehran.
The official noted that given the 2025 horizon, Iran will need 100,000 megawatts of electricity and according to the known international models between 8 to 12 percent of this capacity will be supplied by nuclear energy while different parameters, including the parameter of environment, are very important in this regard.
“We presently have an active power plant which is being used and managed with the domestic forces and the contract for constructing these two power plants with 3,000-megawatt capacity has been concluded and it will become operational within next 10 years.
