US, Israel aiming to fight Islam: Senior cleric

Addressing congregational prayers in his sermon on Friday, he said that US new president (Donald Trump) has banned entry to US by nationals from seven Muslims states including Iraq, Somalia and Libya while they had no problem with the US.

'It is clear that they have targeted Islam which gives strength to the Muslims,' said the cleric adding, 'Islam gives power to Muslims urging them to determine their own destiny and control their own economy and assets.'

The ayatollah said that the US and Israel have created terrorist groups including Daesh while they claim they are fighting against terrorism. They bomb the Syrian and Iraqi people under the pretext of fighting terrorism.
