Syrian president: Ceasefire and peace talks should not halt fight against terrorism

The Syrian president made the remarks in a meeting with Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani.

President Assad highlighted the significant role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in fight against terrorists and praised Iranian and Russian cooperation with the Syrian government to initiate the political process for the Syrian crisis.

Struggle should be continued until full annihilation of terrorist groups, he said.

Terrorism recognizes no borders and no one will be safe from menaces of terrorism, he said.
