Despite the ups and downs in relations, Iran and Egypt always enjoyed friendly ties, Amir-Abdollahian said.
He said that Iran and Egypt as two big and effective states would be able to bring about de-escalation in the region and play constructive role in this concern.
Amir-Abdollahian called for setting up Iranian parliamentary friendship group with Egypt and regular consultations between the parliamentary friendship groups.
He commended the stance of the Egyptian government toward the humanitarian plight in Syria and the international campaign against terrorism including Daesh as 'constructive and useful'.
He said that Iranian parliament is willing to develop cooperation with the Egyptian Parliament and that the cooperation may help ease sufferings of the Muslim World, including the Palestinian issue.
One of important and complicated problems in the Western Asian region is the issue of Palestine and that the Egyptian government is ware of the sufferings of the Palestinians in the occupied territories, Gaza and the West Bank.
He underlined political settlement to end the humanitarian crisis in Syria, saying that Iran supports every move to end the humanitarian stalemate in Syria.
The Americans are not serious in fight against terrorism and they only shout slogans, he added.
Amir-Abdollahian expressed deep concern about deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Yemen, saying that political settlement of the dispute in Yemen would end the bloodshed in the country and the Saudi indiscriminate bombardment of Yemen must come to an end.
He wished success for Yasser Osman during his tenure in Iran.
Osman said that he was pleased with his mission to Iran, saying that he hopes in cooperation with Iranian colleagues to enhance level of relations between the two nations and bring closer the views of the Iranian and Egyptian governments.
The Egyptian diplomat indicated that regular consultations between officials of the two countries would be effective to improve the regional situation.
Osman expressed concern about the crimes against humanity perpetrated by the terrorist groups and continuation of critical situation in Syria, Yemen and Libya.
He hoped that the Islamic states would exercise cooperation and solidarity to help resolve the humanitarian crises in the region.
