President returns home from Baku visit

The president wound up his trip to Baku and departed for Tehran on Monday evening.

He was welcomed by officials and cabinet ministers at the Mehrabad International Airport upon arrival.

Rouhani held a tripartite meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azeri President Ilham Aliyev on Monday.

Rouhani, Putin and Aliyev signed a joint statement in which they called for settlement of all disputes in the region through diplomatic initiatives in line with the Charter of the United Nations.

Iranian President held also separate bilateral meetings with his Russian and Azeri counterparts.
