The statement further noted that US decision about the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) was due to its crucial role against terrorism in the region and reinforcing the country’s economy.
“US decisions will leave no impact on the resolve of the friendly and brotherly nation Iran, but the decisions threaten regional security and stability,” he said.
The oppressive sanctions will fail and get nowhere, it said, noting that US decisions to sanction Iran’s oil will escalate tension in the region and fan flames of regional conflicts and international crises.
In a statement, White House said that five countries--India, China, Japan, South Korea and Turkey will no longer be exempt from US sanctions if they continue to import oil from Iran after their waivers end on May 2.
