Iran, Singapore to broaden library cooperation

Head of Iran's National Library Ashraf Boroujerdi made the remarks during her recent visit to Singapore met with heads of Singapore's National Library Board and the National Library of the country, Director General of Iran's National Library presidential office Haniyeh Geraili told Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

The two sides in the meetings emphasized the expansion of relations and conduction of joint research projects as well as librarian exchange programs, she said.

Iran and Singapore have expressed their readiness for signing MoU in which to include the cooperation projects.

The meetings were held on the sidelines of the 27th conference of Asia-Pacific conference of Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) in Singapore.

The conference (February 21-23) was attended by the officials of more than 20 countries in the region.
